Marina Balzano

After graduating in Law at the University of Padova she obtained a master's degree in "Extraordinary Corporate Transactions" at the 24 Ore Business School in Milan. Marina Balzano is a partner in Orrick’s Italian Banking & Finance team. She has acquired extensive experience in assisting major Italian and international banking groups in all types of structured finance transactions such as acquisition and leveraged finance, corporate finance, project finance, public finance and infrastructure financing. She has also gained solid experience in the issuance of bonds and mini bonds, as well as in the field of debt restructuring both in the out-of-court and pre-bankruptcy phases. Since the end of June 2022 she is a Member of the Board of Directors of Anthilia SGR. Marina is Independent Director of Industrie Chimiche Forestali S.p.A., First Capital S.p.A. and Defence Tech SpA. Furthermore, she is Member of «La Carica delle 101», a non-profit initiative that supports Italian start-ups on their growth path. Legal 500 2021 has ranked Marina Next Generation Partner for the practice “Banking & Finance, Lender or Arranger side“.
